Job Specifications

C# Developer – Contract (Hybrid, London)

Rate: £415 per day (Umbrella only)

Location: London – Hybrid, minimum 3 days a week onsite near Canary Wharf

Contract: Initial 6 months with extensions likely

We’re looking for an experienced C# Developer to join a busy development team within a leading financial environment. The role involves designing, developing and supporting a range of business applications built on the Microsoft .NET platform. You’ll be working closely with database and infrastructure teams, supporting both new and existing systems in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop and maintain applications using C# and the .NET Framework
Support and enhance existing Windows and web-based systems
Work with SQL Server and Oracle databases, writing efficient T-SQL and PL/SQL queries
Follow change management and release procedures to ensure system stability
Troubleshoot application, database and environment issues across multiple teams
Provide occasional out-of-hours or weekend support when needed

Skills and Experience:

Strong C# / .NET development background
Good understanding of object-oriented programming
Experience with SQL Server or Oracle databases
Familiarity with IIS and Windows application development
Excellent communication and problem-solving skills

Desirable:

Exposure to DevOps, CI/CD tools or Agile environments
Experience with web applications or infrastructure configuration
