The Role

We're looking for a senior backend engineer with strong fundamentals who leverages AI tooling to move fast and ship pragmatic solutions.

You'll own significant parts of our platform, lead technical initiatives, and scale infrastructure as we grow. Individual ownership, proactive problem-solving, and using AI to accelerate delivery are essential.

What you’ll do:

Contribute and lead new technical and product initiatives
Take a hands-on approach to design, architecture, development, and deployment of pragmatic software that powers Beacon's platform
Conduct thorough code reviews and seek out simplicity

What you’ll need:

3+ years Java & Spring Boot
AWS service development and deployment
Solid expertise in backend development, microservices architecture, and CI/CD best practices
Track record maintaining secure applications in production
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Growth-oriented mindset
Early-stage startup experience

Nice to haves:

SQL, ElasticSearch, GraphQL
GitLab CI/CD pipelines
Fullstack skills including Typescript, React, Styled-components, HTML & CSS
Supply chain domain knowledge
