Programme: Energy trading transformation

Location: London (hybrid 3 days per week)

Contract: Initial 6 months

Rate: £650-850/d inside IR35

X4 Technology are partnering with a global energy trading firm on a major energy trading & risk management (ETRM) transformation aimed at enhancing performance, streamlining processes and scaling operations across the full deal lifecycle. The programme will deliver a robust, efficient platform that drives sustained growth and significant operational cost savings.

As part of this transformation, the business is establishing a high-impact testing function. These leadership roles will be pivotal in ensuring system quality, validating functionality and performance, and driving the programme’s strategic objectives.

QA Lead (x3):

Accountable for end-to-end testing deliverables across the portfolio, ensuring consistently high-quality outputs
Driving innovation to improve functional, manual and automation testing practices.

UAT Lead:

Accountable for delivering a complete UAT schedule, including test scripts, scenarios and execution steps.
Collaborating closely with programme teams to ensure requirements are fully testable

Non-Functional Test Lead

Accountable for the non-functional testing strategy, documenting approaches and execution plans
Planning and leading performance testing across the ecosystem, and disaster recovery testing to ensure platform resilience

These roles are hybrid in London (3 days per week) offering rates of £650-850/d (inside IR35). The contracts are for an initial 6 months, with multi-year potential as the programme represents a top priority flapship transformation for the business.
