Role: Subject Matter Expert Infrastructure – Windows System Engineer (Senior)

Location: Brussels (Hybrid – 50% onsite / 50% remote)

Duration: 12+ months

About the Role:

You’ll join a workplace engineering squad responsible for delivering secure, stable, and high-performance Windows-based devices and services for a large user population. The role covers maintenance, security, patching, automation, and troubleshooting across desktops, laptops, and hosted virtual desktops.

Responsibilities:

Maintain and secure Windows desktops, laptops, and HVD environments
Perform patch management, vulnerability remediation, and system hardening
Troubleshoot issues with Windows OS, browsers, and GPO policies
Build automation using PowerShell to improve efficiency
Collaborate with teams to integrate workplace systems into wider IT ecosystems
Provide technical support on Windows, browsers, and collaboration tools

Requirements:

2+ years in Windows infrastructure/system engineering
Strong knowledge of Windows OS, security principles, authentication & GPO
PowerShell scripting and automation skills
Experience with Edge/IE/Firefox issues
Strong troubleshooting and analytical abilities
Fluent in Dutch, French, and English

Nice to Have:

Experience with SCCM / Intune / Azure AD / M365
Knowledge of ITIL, Agile ways of working
Large enterprise experience and support environment background
