Functional Analyst - Credit Risk Systems (Software Focus)

Our client is seeking an experienced Functional Analyst to join a long-term program dedicated to optimising credit risk software systems. The role focuses on analysing, designing, and enhancing software solutions that streamline risk workflows, improve data quality, and support secure, high-impact decision-making processes.

This is a hands-on, software-focused role, working closely with technical teams to ensure functional requirements are accurately translated into high-quality system solutions.

Key Responsibilities :

Define, document, and refine functional requirements and user stories for credit risk systems.

Collaborate with developers and architects to implement new features and system improvements.

Contribute to reporting, analytic, and workflow optimization to ensure actionable insights.

Support integration and secure configuration of software solutions.

Validate and test system changes to ensure functional accuracy and quality.

Participate actively in Agile ceremonies, including sprint planning and reviews.

Required Skills & Experience:

Minimum 5 years as a Functional / Business Analyst

Strong expertise in software functional analysis and process documentation

Solid understanding of credit risk or risk management systems

Familiarity with workflow and content/document management platforms

Knowledge of software integration's, API, and Agile methodologies

Experience with functional/system testing and validation

Belgian nationality

Preferred Skills

Experience with process/workflow automation tools (e.g., Kaunda, BPM platforms)

Exposure to modular or micro services architecture

Data modelling and reporting experience

Excellent communication and collaboration skills

Ability to work independently while delivering high-quality results

Languages

One of Belgium's national languages (French or Dutch) + English

Working Conditions

Hybrid: Onsite 2 day/week in Brussels, remote the rest

Long-term engagement with quarterly contract renewals
