Cross-Platform Mobile App Developer (1-Month Project)

About the Project
We are seeking a highly skilled and self-driven Contract Cross-Platform Mobile App Developer to take ownership of a critical, month-long project. This role requires an experienced developer capable of working independently, leveraging advanced mobile frameworks, cloud services, and cutting-edge LLM technologies to deliver a fully functional, high-quality application.
The Role
You will be responsible for the end-to-end development of a new mobile application. This is a solo effort where your expertise will be crucial for the project's success. The ideal candidate thrives in an autonomous environment and possesses a deep understanding of the entire mobile development lifecycle.
Required Core Technical Expertise
The successful candidate must possess extensive, proven experience in the following areas:
Cross-Platform Mobile Development:
Expert proficiency in a leading cross-platform framework (e.g., React Native, Flutter, or Xamarin).
Demonstrable ability to build and deploy robust, high-performance applications for both iOS and Android.
OCR Capabilities & Integration:
Mandatory experience implementing OCR for image-to-text functionality within a mobile application.
Familiarity with relevant OCR services/libraries (e.g., AWS Textract, Google ML Kit, Tesseract, or platform-native APIs).
Ability to accurately capture, process, and structure text extracted from images.
Cloud Services Integration (AWS):
Strong working experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS), including services relevant to mobile backend development (e.g., Cognito, Lambda, DynamoDB, API Gateway, Textract).
Ability to set up and manage secure, scalable mobile back-end infrastructure on AWS.
LLM Integration & Tooling:
Direct, hands-on experience integrating and working with Large Language Model (LLM) based tools and frameworks.
Experience with tools like LangChain (or similar orchestration frameworks).
Experience utilizing AWS Bedrock (preferred) or other LLM providers (e.g., OpenAI, Google GenAI) for specific application features (often leveraging OCR output).
Knowledge of prompt engineering and managing model interactions for reliable output.
Full-Stack Mobile Proficiency:
Solid command of relevant programming languages (e.g., JavaScript/TypeScript, Dart, Python).
Expertise in state management, RESTful APIs, security best practices, and offline capabilities.
Proficiency with Git and standard CI/CD processes for mobile deployment.
Project Success Requirements (Must Be Able to Apply Independently)
The contract requires a developer who can confidently and independently execute the following:
Architecture & Design: Define the application's technical architecture, ensuring scalability, performance, and maintainability.
Unsupervised Development: Work completely independently from concept to deployment, making sound technical decisions without requiring daily supervision.
Data Pipeline: Design a pipeline that efficiently handles image capture, OCR processing, and transmission of extracted text to the LLM backend.
Deployment: Manage the entire submission process for both the Apple App Store and Google Play Store.
Testing & QA: Implement comprehensive testing (unit, integration) and ensure the final product meets high-quality standards.
Bonus Qualifications (A Significant Plus)
Prior development experience in the Finance sector.
Specific project background in the Insurance industry is highly advantageous.
