About SYP
SYP is an invite-only cocktail discovery and review platform born in New York City. Our mission is to help people discover beverages they actually love, not by influencers or algorithms, but through data-driven taste profiles and real reviews from our community.
From ranked lists of NYC’s best cocktails to personalized “taste graphs,” SYP translates what people drink into actionable insight for venues and brands. We’ve launched our iOS app in New York and are expanding our social presence and marketing programs as we build a curated, invite-only network of members and bars.
About the Role
We’re looking for a creative, self-directed Marketing & Social Media Intern to own SYP’s presence across Instagram, TikTok, and LinkedIn. You’ll shape our voice, build campaigns around new features and venues, and turn NYC’s cocktail scene into scroll-stopping content. This role sits at the intersection of tech, hospitality, and culture. perfect for someone who wants to build a brand from the ground up.
Key Responsibilities
Lead day-to-day content creation and posting across Instagram, TikTok, and LinkedIn.
Design and execute organic growth campaigns around new app features, invite drops, and venue partners.
Develop a consistent visual aesthetic aligned with SYP’s brand (black / gold, dark mode aesthetic).
Capture and edit short-form video content (featuring bars, founders, and members).
Manage content calendar and collaborate with the founders on launch campaigns.
Engage the community through DMs, comments, and invite-code events.
Track and report on key metrics (views, installs, engagement rates, referrals).
Preferred Qualifications
Junior–Senior undergrad or recent graduate in Marketing, Communications, Graphic Design, or Hospitality.
Proven interest in social media strategy and content creation (especially Reels & TikTok).
Video editing skills (Final Cut / CapCut / Premiere / Canva).
Excellent storytelling and copywriting abilities.
Comfortable working independently in a startup environment.
Passion for cocktails, NYC nightlife, and the intersection of data + hospitality.
