Modernization Enterprise Architect (Contract - 1 year)

TekRek has partnered with a national organization undergoing a major multi-year modernization program across its core products and platforms. The company operates at significant enterprise scale, supporting multiple business lines and millions of users. With major investments allocated to re-platforming legacy systems, building modern API-driven services, and shifting toward hybrid cloud architecture, they are expanding their Architecture function with senior leaders who can drive deep technical transformation.
Job Description
As part of the Enterprise Architecture function, you will:
Lead the modernization of legacy applications into modular, cloud-native, API-driven systems across multiple business domains.
Develop architecture blueprints, conceptual designs, and detailed solution patterns that guide engineering teams across hybrid cloud environments.
Partner closely with senior technology and business stakeholders to ensure architectural alignment, reduce technical debt, and support major AOP initiatives.
Oversee system design, integration, and development activities—removing blockers, clarifying requirements, and ensuring technical decisions scale across the enterprise.
Job Requirements
5+ years as a Solution Architect or Technical Lead with hands-on experience designing microservices, API gateways, and hybrid cloud (Azure + GCP).
Strong system design background spanning distributed systems, integration patterns, and multi-tier modernization.
Technical depth across C#, .Net, Node, Kubernetes, REST API’s, Oracle, Postgres, Apigee, CloudRun, Github, Azure B2C, Dynatrace
