SAIC is seeking DevOps Engineers to join the Machine-assisted Analytic Rapid-repository System (MARS) Advanced Development Operations (DevOps) and Sustainment Support (ADOS) program and provide on-site technical and administrative support to facilitate operations of critical MARS infrastructure and services. This effort focuses on providing a comprehensive set of System/ Software Engineering and IT Services to maintain, sustain, enhance, and improve/ modernize MARS.

The ideal candidate will be located in the National Capital Region.

Please note that this is contingent upon contract award, with an anticipated decision expected by fall 2025.

The DevOps Engineer responsibilities include, but are not limited to

Shape the organization’s DevOps strategy and implementation through streamlining the development process and building and evolving an automated, secure, and scalable continuous delivery pipeline with high-quality, innovative product releases.
Lead the design and integration of DevOps tools and technologies for deployment, monitoring, and operations of mission systems software products.
Work with application teams to adopt continuous build, inspection, testing, and deployment approaches and configure and monitor DevOps performance.
Participate in all aspects of DevOps Engineering and continuously promote industry standard methodologies revolving around DevOps Engineering.

Qualifications

Active TS/SCI with Polygraph.
Previous IT experience including software-related DevOps experience.
Experience utilizing Agile software development methods.
Experience with various DevOps tools such as Jira, Maven, Jenkins, Ansible, Chef, Puppet, GitHub, BitBucket, or Docker.
Experience developing Infrastructure as Code.
Experience supporting large-scale enterprise applications.

Level I Bachelors and 0-4 years of experience or an additional 4 years of experience in lieu of degree.

Level II Bachelors and 5-8 years of experience or an additional 4 years of experience in lieu of degree.

Level III Bachelors and 9-17 years of experience or an additional 4 years of experience in lieu of degree.

Desired Qualifications

Experience building software or solutions using PHP, Bash, Perl, Ruby, Python, or similar programming languages and technology stacks.
Experience utilizing testing practices and frameworks including automated testing suites, unit testing, and end-to-end and user-acceptance testing.
Familiarization with cloud platforms such as AWS and Azure.

Target salary range $160,001 - $200,000. The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
