Position Summary

We are seeking an enthusiastic Data Analyst with 2-3 years of experience to contribute to our data team within the banking sector. This role offers an opportunity to grow skills in requirements analysis, data governance, and hands-on data manipulation. The successful candidate will support senior team members by performing core analytical tasks, ensuring data quality, and assisting with reporting development using Python and SQL.

Key Responsibilities

Requirements Support: Assist senior analysts in internal customer meetings to understand and document basic data and reporting needs.
Documentation: Contribute to requirements mapping and basic documentation efforts to support data engineering partners.
Data Governance & Quality: Participate in Metadata registration activities and assist in configuring and testing basic data quality rules.
ETL Support: Support the coordination of testing efforts for ETL pipelines and validate results under guidance.
Hands-On Analysis & Reporting: Execute core analytical tasks, leveraging proficiency in SQL for data extraction and Python for manipulation. Assist in building and maintaining dashboards and reports.
Communication: Utilize strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with technical teams and business stakeholders.

Required Skills & Qualifications

Experience: 2-3 years of professional experience in a data analysis or business intelligence role.
Technical Proficiency: Foundational, hands-on experience with SQL (writing complex queries) and working knowledge of Python for data tasks (e.g., Pandas).
Analytical Skills: Basic proficiency in data cleansing, analysis, and reporting development.
Data Familiarity: Understanding of core data concepts, including ETL processes, metadata, and data quality principles.
Communication: Ability to clearly articulate findings and requirements in both written and verbal formats.
