Selby Jennings is partnered with a recently formed, technology driven asset manager looking to add their first full time hire specialized in Salesforce Development. In this role, you will be a foundational member of the core engineering team tasked with developing various Salesforce focused applications and solutions for the firm's front office teams. This is a cross-functional role that requires a commercial minded engineer with strong software development experience in Apex, and ideally Python.

Responsibilities

Be the first line of contact as a subject matter expert for the Salesforce Platform
Proactively identify areas for improvement and introduce innovative recommendations, factoring in user needs, external approaches, data analytics, as well as industry best practices.
Lead the end-to-end life cycle for development, architectural and implementation needs across the organization
Create and maintain technical documentation related to solutions developed.
Support end users daily including managing issue resolution and performing root cause analysis to further strengthen the platforms integrity
Perform various types of testing across applications, including the development of custom testing suites
Assist in coordination of production releases, working towards an Agile delivery methodology

Requirements

5+ years of proven experience with design and development of custom solutions for Salesforce. This may include using Apex, Lightning, batch apex, Lightning Component frameworks and Salesforce API.
Experience with leveraging web services to integrate Salesforce with AWS and other external apps
Development experience in Python is highly desired
Experience in Financial Services preferred
Agile development experience
