Context

As a Junior GRC (Governance, Risk, and Compliance) Officer you will ensure adherence to internal policies and external regulations, by managing governance frameworks, implementing risk management strategies, and establishing compliance programs.

Key responsibilities include conducting or reviewing risk assessments, developing and maintaining security controls, documenting control failures, preparing risk and compliance reports for senior management, and ensuring all processes and systems align with regulatory standards and industry best practices.

Your position

Governance:

Developing, implementing, and maintaining organizational policies, procedures, and frameworks to ensure proper oversight and adherence to standards.

Risk Management:

Identifying, assessing, and mitigating potential threats and risks to the organization's information system.

Compliance:

Monitoring adherence to internal policies and external laws, regulations, and industry standards, such as ISO 27001, SOC 2, GDPR, and NIST.

Auditing:

Managing the response to audit findings and recommendations.

Reporting:

Creating and presenting reports, dashboards, and evidence artifacts for senior management and other stakeholders, detailing risk exposures, compliance status, and control effectiveness.

Collaboration:

Working with various departments and teams to integrate GRC principles into daily operations and implement corrective actions.

Your profile

Master’s degree in Business, IT or Engineering
Good understanding of relevant regulatory requirements and security frameworks (e.g., ISO 27001, NIST, SOC 2), and GRC tools.
Good understanding of risk assessment methodologies, security controls, and information security management systems.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact with cross-functional teams
First experience (internship or apprenticeship) in IT, Security and/or financial services is a plus
Analytical mindset, attention to detail and good organizational skills
Proficient in MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
Fluent in English and French or Dutch
