Software Engineer | Newcastle | Hybrid

Location: Newcastle upon Tyne (Hybrid – 2 days per week in the office)

Our client, a leading technology organisation with a focus on innovation and scalability, is looking for a Software Engineer to join their Product Engineering team. You’ll collaborate across Product and Implementation Engineering to design, build, and support a world-class platform used by millions of users every month.

What you’ll be doing

Design and implement innovative software solutions to meet project and business requirements.
Provide proactive support for team-owned components, identifying and resolving technical challenges before they escalate.
Participate in scrums and team meetings, sharing insights, ideas, and technical opinions.
Collaborate with engineers, product managers, and stakeholders to refine requirements and provide expert technical guidance.
Contribute to code reviews and offer constructive feedback to uphold code quality and best practices.
Stay informed about the latest industry trends and emerging technologies to drive innovation and continuous improvement.
Share knowledge within and beyond your team to support collaboration and professional growth.

What we’re looking for

Strong experience in C# and the wider Microsoft .NET ecosystem.
Passion for building scalable, efficient, and high-availability systems.
Knowledge of Node.js, TypeScript, and Angular is highly advantageous.
Familiarity with MS Azure, Terraform, GitHub Actions, and Kubernetes preferred.
Exposure to Azure SQL, MongoDB, and high-volume transactional systems a plus.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills, both technical and non-technical.
Effective time management and ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
Eagerness to learn, innovate, and stay ahead of technology trends.
