Senior Java Engineer – 6 Month Contract

Industry: Global e-commerce & logistics

We’re supporting a major international tech business looking for an experienced Senior Java Engineer to join their Transport & Delivery team. You’ll help build and enhance high-performance delivery APIs, microservices, and carrier integrations.

Key Requirements

5+ years software development experience
Strong Java (8+), Spring Boot, REST APIs
SQL/NoSQL databases
Testing: JUnit, Mockito, WireMock
Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD (Jenkins)
Experience with third-party integrations
Ability to work independently in a fast, agile environment
Strong communication and mentoring skills

Nice to Have

CockroachDB
Messaging frameworks
Distributed systems experience
Exposure to React/Angular
