MATERIAL QC INSPECTOR

Location: Talacre, Wales

Contract duration: initial 12-month contract, with the option to extend

Work Schedule: 5.5 days / week

Contract type: Outside IR35

Start Date: ASAP

Account Manager: Anthony Hughes

We are seeking a Material QC Inspector to oversee the inspection and verification of incoming materials and components for a major industrial project. The role ensures compliance with specifications, standards, and client requirements throughout the supply chain and construction phases.

Responsibilities:

Inspect and verify materials against purchase orders and specifications.
Conduct visual and dimensional checks.
Review material test certificates and compliance documentation.
Ensure adherence to ISO, ASTM, BS EN standards.
Maintain inspection records and reports.
Identify non-conformances and coordinate corrective actions.
Liaise with procurement, engineering, and construction teams.
Support audits and quality reviews.

Requirements:

3–5 years’ experience in material inspection (oil & gas, construction, or heavy engineering).
Strong knowledge of material properties and standards.
Ability to interpret technical drawings/specs.
Certification in QC/QA (e.g., CSWIP, API) preferred.
