Summary

The Data Privacy Analyst is responsible for supporting the organization’s data privacy initiatives, ensuring compliance with global data privacy regulations (such as GDPR, CCPA/CPRA, HIPAA), and safeguarding personal information throughout its lifecycle. This role will involve working closely with cross-functional teams to operationalize privacy policies, perform risk assessments, manage data subject requests, and contribute to privacy incident response activities.

Education And/or Experience

Bachelor’s degree (Law, Computer Science, Information Security, Compliance preferred) or a minimum of eight years directly related experience required
Minimum two years in data privacy, information governance, compliance, or a related field required
Hands-on experience conducting Privacy Impact Assessments (PIAs), Data Protection Impact Assessments (DPIAs), and managing data subject rights requests required
Solid understanding of global privacy regulations (e.g., GDPR, CCPA/CPRA, HIPAA) and frameworks (e.g., NIST, ISO 27701)
Ability to interpret privacy regulations and implement practical, business-oriented solutions
Strong organizational and communication skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a collaborative, cross-functional environment
Preferred:
Certifications such as CIPP/US, CIPP/E, CIPM, or CDPSE
Experience with privacy management platforms (e.g., OneTrust, TrustArc, BigID)
Experience supporting or developing privacy compliance programs within a growing or evolving organization
Knowledge of data governance, lifecycle management, and privacy by design principles

Job Responsibilities

Implements, updates, and improves privacy governance, policies, and controls to align with applicable laws and regulations, including GDPR, CCPA/CPRA, HIPAA, etc
Conducts Privacy Impact Assessments (PIAs) and Data Protection Impact Assessments (DPIAs) for systems, products, and third-party vendors to evaluate privacy risks
Maintains and updates data inventories and Records of Processing Activities (ROPAs), supporting the mapping of data flows across various business units and systems
Coordinates responses to Data Subject Access Requests (DSARs) and other privacy rights requests, ensuring timely and compliant resolution
Collaborates with internal teams, including Legal, IT, Compliance, and Security, to ensure privacy compliance in contracts, vendor due diligence, and third-party risk management
Assists in privacy incident response activities, including documentation of incidents, root cause analysis, and regulatory notifications when necessary
Contributes to the development and delivery of privacy awareness and training programs for employees and other stakeholders
Monitors changes to privacy laws, regulatory guidelines, and industry best practices to inform the organization’s privacy compliance strategies
*Performs other duties as needed upon request by immediate supervisor.

The good faith range for this position is $73,500 - $88,250 annually. This range is an estimate, based on potential employee qualifications and operational needs. The salary may vary above and below the stated amounts, as permitted by applicable law.
