Job Description
We are looking for a Senior Azure Cloud Engineer with at least 5 years of experience to join the Engineering chapter. You’ll be responsible for deploying, configuring, maintaining, and troubleshooting cloud platforms and services. You’ll work in a cross-functional team to improve infrastructure reliability, security, and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
Cloud Deployment & Configuration: Provision and configure resources in Azure using standardized models.
Automation & Scripting: Develop templates and workflows to automate infrastructure tasks.
Security & Compliance: Implement cloud security measures (firewalls, encryption, identity management) aligned with company and industry standards.
Operational Maintenance: Monitor, patch, and update cloud services to ensure reliability and reduce technical debt.
Incident Management: Resolve cloud infrastructure incidents, perform root cause analysis, and implement preventive actions.
Documentation: Maintain up-to-date operational and service documentation.
Collaboration & Support: Work with product owners, developers, and IT teams to support deployments and mentor junior engineers.
Continuous Improvement: Suggest enhancements to improve reliability, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness.
Qualifications
Qualifications
Experience: Minimum 5 years in cloud engineering, with strong expertise in Microsoft Azure.
Certifications:
Required: AZ-104 – Azure Administrator Associate
Optional: AZ-700, AZ-500, KCNA, CKA
Technical Skills
Cloud Concepts: Landing zones, Cloud Adoption Framework, regulatory frameworks (ISO, NIS2)
Azure Expertise:
Networking: VNETs, NSGs, hub-and-spoke, firewalls, private endpoints, WAF
Governance: Management groups, EntraID, PIM, policies, cost management
Security: Azure Defender
Databases: Azure SQL, MongoDB
Infrastructure as Code: Terraform (HCL)
CI/CD: Azure DevOps, ArgoCD
Containers: Kubernetes
Monitoring: Grafana, Prometheus, OpenTelemetry
Soft Skills
Leadership mindset and mentoring ability
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
Excellent communication and collaboration
Comfortable in agile, cross-functional environments
Languages
Required: English (C1)
Optional: French (B1), Dutch (B1)

Additional Information
Location: Brussels (primary), occasional travel to Berlin
Hybrid Work: 2 days/week in office
