Job Specifications

To write, produce, voice and edit TV bulletins for Entertainment News on 5 and entertainment YouTube channels.

Key Responsibilities:

To engage fully with global entertainment content
To produce content targeted to the brief and to the highest standards of production
Source stories and picture
Script writing – clear, informative, punchy and funny
Voicing daily bulletins
Edit daily and weekly bulletins on Premiere
Interview celebrities in a professional manner
Complete music reporting daily
Edit interviews for social media content
Diary management
Pick up communication with PR when needed
Writing clear handovers
Work on edits for YouTube and edit for other platforms

These are the main requirements of the role and is not an exhaustive list of duties. It is intended to reflect the nature, range, and context of the work, which will change over time.

Key Requirements:

A flair for writing
A strong broadcasting voice/voice over experience
Premiere editing experience for broadcast
A passion for creating funny, original content
A self-starter who can work alone effectively but who is also a strong team member
Working knowledge of media law/compliance – referring the show each day to Channel 5 lawyers and editorial management
Great attention to detail
Time management skills and the ability to produce content to tight deadlines
A keen interest in entertainment news
Being a keen team player
