Role description

Network & Optimization Analytics Manager

Your role

• You will be responsible for developing and implementing advanced data science and machine learning models to optimize operational and logistical processes .

• You will help build predictive and optimization algorithms to answer business questions relating to volume prediction, network design, dynamic routing, and resource planning, among other things.

• You will help determine the strategic roadmap for data use cases, focusing on initiatives that create maximum value for the organization.

• You will convert complex data analyses into clear insights and recommendations for both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

• You will manage a team of data scientists and analysts and ensure knowledge sharing and professional growth within the team.

• You will work closely with the business and IT teams to integrate data science solutions .

• You will be the driving force behind innovative projects involving data, AI, and machine learning, with a focus on value creation .

• You will be an ambassador for a data-driven culture within the organization and act as a sparring partner for strategic projects.

Your profile

• You have a master's degree, engineering degree, or doctorate in data science, operational research, applied mathematics, statistics, computer science, or a similar field.

• You have at least 5 years of experience in data science, machine learning, or advanced analytics, preferably in a logistics or industrial context.

• You have excellent experience in people management, particularly in managing and coaching a team of data scientists or analysts.

• You have strong expertise in data engineering, machine learning, and statistical analysis, and a good knowledge of Python. Knowledge of other programming languages and technologies is a plus.

• You are familiar with various cloud platforms.

• You have a strong analytical mindset and are able to translate complex analyses into understandable business insights and recommendations.

• You can communicate fluently in Dutch, French, and English.
