Orbis are partnering with a high-growth FinTech firm with over 500 employees globally. The firm have been on an incredible growth journey, both organically and through acquisitions, and this is showing no signs of slowing down.

As they continue their incredible growth journey with a series of key business acquisitions, they are now looking for an experienced Head of Data & AI who can deliver a consolidated data strategy and a roadmap for the use of AI and modern data technology.

Your responsibilities in this role will be:

Define and own the end-to-end Data & AI strategy across multiple business units and platforms
Consolidating and modernising multi-cloud data platforms and setting target data architecture for current and newly merged businesses
Leading a lean, high-performing Data function (staying ~20% hands-on), partnering closely with C- Suite
Owning the AI/ML roadmap, including for insights, automation and driving measurable business outcomes

To be successful in this role, you will need:

Strong proven experience running data teams and platforms as well as managing data strategy for a high-growth Financial Services or FinTech firm.
A Data Engineering background (or similar) with excellent hands-on experience and understanding of Data Warehouse (e.g. BigQuery, Redshift, Snowflake, Databricks), orchestration, data modelling and cloud technology (AWS, GCP, Azure)
Strong AI literacy, including leveraging AI to pull insights from structured and unstructured data
Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate with and present to C-Suite.
