Job Specifications

Industry leading, global financial technology company has an immediate need for an outstanding Lead Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) to join their growing team in a full time role. This hands on technical team lead will be responsible for ensuring the reliability, performance, and scalability of global trading infrastructure and systems. The Lead SRE sets the technical direction and works in a production environment with technical and hands on responsibility for automation, monitoring/observability, deployment, and incident response. They will lead, manage and mentor an engineering team. The ability to work strategically and tactically, and partner with cross functional teams in a collaborative environment is required.

Responsibilities:

Provide technical thought leadership and strategic direction, system reliability and performance, and team leadership.
Lead a world class engineering team in a hands on role.
Design and implement automation to improve operational efficiencies.
Drive IaC practices to streamline provisioning and deployment.
Build and support monitoring, logging and alerting systems for infrastructure and applications
Incident response- lead on call rotations and response processes.

Required Skills:

10+ years of experience in SRE, DevOps or Production Engineering roles.
Experience with cloud platforms (GCP is preferred) including networking, compute, storage, and IAM.
5+ years of Linux engineering experience and expertise with the OS including building, supporting and scaling systems.
Hands on Python scripting, expertise with automation tooling, Python and IaC.
Experience with observability tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, Stackdriver or Datadog.
Experience with Kubernetes container orchestration and CI/CD pipelines.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
Understanding of software structure at a code level.
Experience with Blockchain, Ethereum and Smart Contracts is highly desired.
