Akkodis is seeking a – “Senior Software Engineer (Golang)” for a Contract position with a client located in Remote.
Pay Range: $55-$60/hr. (The rate/salary may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.).
Position Overview
We’re looking for a Senior Software Engineer with strong Go (Golang) development experience and a solid foundation in software engineering and infrastructure automation. This role is part of a high-performing infrastructure team responsible for building scalable, reliable systems that support critical platform services.
The ideal candidate will be a strong software engineer first, with the ability to quickly learn and apply infrastructure concepts in a code-driven environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Design, develop, and maintain high-quality Go-based services and tools.
Contribute to Infrastructure as Code initiatives and automation frameworks.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve system reliability and scalability.
Participate in code reviews, technical discussions, and knowledge sharing.
Troubleshoot and optimize distributed systems for performance and efficiency.
Required Skills & Experience:
5+ years of professional software engineering experience.
3+ years of hands-on Go (Golang) development.
Strong understanding of software development principles, testing, and version control.
Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Ansible, or similar) preferred.
Familiarity with CI/CD, cloud environments (AWS, GCP, or Azure), and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work in fast-paced, collaborative environments.
