Job Title: Technical Business Analyst (SQL, Azure, Data Solutions)
Location: London (Hybrid)
Salary: £500/550 per day inside IR35

Job Description:
We need someone who knows their way around a database, who understands the business use of data, the importance of governance and standards, balanced against constant demand for delivery. Financial Services experience is important but not essential for the right candidate.
What you’ll do
Representing Global Data Solutions to multiple stakeholders across numerous projects to ensure the delivery of data solutions to deliver business benefit.
The knowledge, experience and qualifications you need
· Understanding of wealth management products, services, and regulatory requirements.
· Familiarity with investment vehicles, portfolio management, client onboarding, compliance, and reporting.
· Strong stakeholder management skills, including the ability to elicit, document, and prioritise business and data requirements from diverse groups.
· Experience facilitating workshops and interviews to understand user needs and pain points.
· Proficiency in analysing and interpreting large datasets relevant to clients, portfolios, transactions, and market activity.
· Ability to use data visualisation tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau) to communicate findings effectively.
· Experience working with structured and unstructured data from multiple sources.
· Understand how data flows between systems and business units, identifying gaps or inefficiencies.
· Knowledge of data governance principles, including data ownership, data stewardship, and data lineage.
· Ability to define and document data quality rules, monitor data quality, and implement remediation processes.
· Familiarity with SQL for querying datasets and validating business requirements.
· Understanding of modern data platforms, cloud data solutions, and APIs.
· Ability to bridge communication between technical teams (e.g., data engineers) and business users.
· Experience supporting user acceptance testing, training, and communication related to data-centric solutions.
· Ability to assess the impact of changes on business processes and data.
· Analytical mindset with strong attention to detail.
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to create clear business requirements, user stories, process flows, and data dictionaries.
· Comfortable presenting findings and recommendations to stakeholders at all levels, including senior management.
