Business Analyst

(London) Hybrid

Contract - £400-425 P/D OUTSIDE IR35

The Business Analyst will work to produce high-level Discovery documentation across a range of upcoming portfolio projects. They will work closely with Business Stakeholders to understand existing processes and problem statements, document vision and objectives, and map out new processes and requirements. The projects will be both Tech and non-Tech and will cover several different Business Areas.

Key accountabilities:

User Stories & Documentation

Convert business requirements into detailed user stories and acceptance criteria for the development team.
Maintain and update backlogs, ensuring stories are well-defined and prioritised.
Collaborate with product owners and developers to refine requirements throughout the sprint cycle.

•Requirements Gathering

Work closely with business stakeholders to understand project goals and translate them into clear, actionable requirements.
Conduct workshops, interviews, and process mapping sessions to capture business needs.
Document functional and non-functional requirements.

•QA testing: Participate in user acceptance testing (UAT) and help validate that solutions meet business requirements.

Create test scenarios, review test plans, and assist in defect management.

Support the business during testing phases, helping to troubleshoot and verify fixes.

Skills

5 years of experience in business analysis
Process mapping (as-is and to-be)
User Story creation
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail
Comfortable with multi-tasking and prioritising workload
Organised & process-driven
