Job Description:
We are seeking a Jr IP & Commercial Litigation Counsel with experience in soft IP litigation and commercial disputes to join our growing legal network. This role is ideal for junior legal professionals with a blend of intellectual property and commercial litigation experience, particularly in the tech, media, or software industries.
Responsibilities:
Support IP litigation matters, including copyright, trademark, and software-related disputes.
Assist with commercial litigation cases, including contract disputes, licensing claims, and technology agreements.
Draft pleadings, discovery requests, and legal memoranda, and help manage case strategy under supervision.
Collaborate with internal business, product, and legal teams to align litigation strategy with commercial objectives.
Conduct research and analysis of IP and commercial law issues relevant to client operations.
Assist with settlement discussions, licensing negotiations, and risk mitigation strategies.
Minimum Qualifications:
JD or equivalent, with active U.S. bar membership in good standing.
3–5 years of experience in IP litigation, commercial litigation, or a blend of both.
Familiarity with technology, software, or media companies preferred.
Strong research, drafting, and analytical skills.
Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams in fast-paced environments.
Preferred Skills:
Prior experience at technology, media, or software companies, or law firms with tech-focused IP practices.
Exposure to copyright, trademark, and software licensing disputes.
Comfortable supporting remote or onsite client engagements as needed.
Compensation, Benefits & Location:
This role offers a range of competitive compensation starting at $127,000, and a highly competitive benefits package in the alternative legal services marketplace that includes health benefits, 401k, and more. Axiomites predominately work remotely, with the exception that some clients require on-site presence.
