Simulation Engineer

Location: On-site (London office)

Type: Full-time

We’re looking for a Simulation Engineer to join a multidisciplinary team developing advanced, physics-based and data-driven models that power autonomous manufacturing technologies.

This is an exciting opportunity to apply your Software and analytical skills to real-world manufacturing challenges, working alongside experts in Engineering, production, and machining.

Key Responsibilities

Develop parameterisable, physically based models using first-principles approaches.
Build and refine data-driven models when physical models are not applicable.
Design and analyse experiments to gain fundamental understanding of machining processes.
Apply multi-objective optimisation techniques to improve efficiency, quality, and repeatability.
Identify and investigate correlations and causal relationships in production data.
Collaborate with engineers, machinists, and product teams to translate model insights into tangible improvements.

About You

MEng or PhD in Engineering or a related discipline (2:1 or above).
An understanding of engineering physics, materials, and modelling principles.
Experience developing and testing simulation models using Python (knowledge of Matlab, Julia, Rust, or C++ is a plus).
Comfortable designing experiments, analysing results, and communicating findings clearly.
Curious, methodical, and motivated to apply scientific thinking to complex manufacturing problems.
Able to manage multiple projects and collaborate effectively with technical and non-technical colleagues.
