Interim Commercial Finance Analyst – PE-backed Technology Business (Remote)

2 month contract | Inside IR35 | Immediate start

A private equity-backed technology business is looking for an interim Commercial Finance Analyst to provide hands-on support to the Finance Manager during a busy period of project growth and change.

The business operates on a project delivery model and needs additional bandwidth to bring structure to cost tracking, forecasting and reporting processes.

The role

Working alongside the Finance Manager and wider operational teams, you will:

Develop and implement a rate card and costing model to align staff costs, utilisation and margins across projects.
Build a project budget tracking framework linking resource data with financial reporting.
Deliver insight on project performance, cost-to-complete and profitability.
Support the Finance Manager with forecasting, variance analysis and management reporting.
Create robust tools and templates that can be sustained once the interim project concludes.

The person

Background in commercial finance or FP&A within tech, media, or other project-based businesses.
Proven experience building costing models or rate cards.
Excellent Excel and data modelling skills; able to translate operational data into clear financial outputs.
Self-sufficient, pragmatic and comfortable engaging across finance and delivery teams.
Available at short notice and able to operate effectively in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA or CIMA)
