The Opportunity
We’re at the start of a generational shift. Just as YouTube unlocked the world’s videos and TikTok turned short-form into the default entertainment, GenTube is making AI creation the medium of our time. A billion people will move from passive consumption to active creation — and you’ll be one of the engineers building the rails.
The Founders
Josh and Mo scaled platforms to 100M+ users and led a $150M+ AI exit to Microsoft. Now they’re building the defining consumer AI company of the creation era. We’re well-funded with a long runway and you’re joining the founding team.
The Role
You’ll own product-defining features used by millions daily. Build systems that feel instant. Your code will set the standard for how people create, share, and play with AI globally.
What You’ll Do
Own end-to-end systems: React Native UI, Next.js infra, Node/Python APIs, AI streaming, databases
Ship loops that feel like magic: sub-50ms taps, real-time AI streaming, intuitive experiences
Build infra that scales: from 10M+ monthly creations today to 1B+ tomorrow
Move at founder speed: daily deploys, 24-hour experiments
Drive by metrics: session time, creates per DAU, retention. Optimize what moves the graph
Grow into technical leadership — setting architecture, scaling systems, mentoring
What We’re Looking For
Full-stack fluency across modern frameworks and infra
React Native mastery with deep performance optimization
Frontend: TypeScript, React internals, Next.js SSR/ISR, Tailwind
Backend: Node/Python APIs, GraphQL, caching, real-time systems
Prototype to production, fast
Bias toward speed and iteration, balanced with craft
You think in loops — retention, virality, engagement
Bonus
Built AI products or shipped with ML APIs (Groq, Replicate, etc.)
Real-time streaming interfaces with sub-second latency
Open source/projects that show technical creativity
