Job Title: Workday Integration Lead

JOB DESCRIPTION
Summary:
The Workday Integration Lead is responsible for designing, developing, implementing, and maintaining integrations between Workday HCM and various internal/external systems. This role oversees end-to-end integration lifecycle, ensures data consistency, and provides technical leadership to integration developers and business stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead the design, architecture, and delivery of Workday integrations across HCM, Payroll, Finance, Benefits, Recruiting, and other modules.
Develop and maintain integrations using Workday Studio, EIB (Enterprise Interface Builder), Core Connectors, PECI/DT, and Workday Web Services (SOAP/REST).
Collaborate with HRIS, IT, and business teams to gather requirements, translate them into technical specifications, and implement scalable solutions.
Manage full integration lifecycle—analysis, design, mapping, development, testing, deployment, and post-production support.
Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize existing integrations for performance, security, and reliability.
Lead integration testing efforts, including SIT, UAT, regression, and parallel testing cycles.
Ensure compliance with security policies, Workday best practices, SOX controls, and data governance.
Partner with vendors and cross-functional teams to coordinate third-party integrations and resolve issues.
Create documentation including design specs, test plans, data flows, and support guides.
Mentor junior developers and act as SME for Workday integrations.
Required Skills & Experience:
6–12+ years of experience in Workday integrations or HRIS integration roles.
Strong hands-on experience with Workday Studio, EIB, Core Connectors, CCTPP, CCT, Cloud Connect, PECI, Payroll Integrations, REST/SOAP APIs, XSLT, XML, and JSON.
Deep understanding of Workday business processes, reporting, and Workday data model.
Experience with integration tools such as MuleSoft, Dell Boomi, Azure Integration Services, or Informatica (nice to have).
Expertise in troubleshooting integration failures, security errors, mapping issues, and performance bottlenecks.
Strong analytical, communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
Workday Integration Certifications (Studio, Core Connectors, Reporting).
Experience leading Workday implementations, upgrades, or large cross-module integration projects.
Knowledge of HR, Payroll, Benefits, and Financial functional domains.
