We collaborate with a truly impactful global non-profit organisation who is seeking a Data Protection Advisory Specialist on a contract basis, to strengthen their global data security and privacy function.

Role: Data Protection Advisory Specialist Consultant

Location: remote (UK based)

Rate: market rate (outside IR35)

Key Deliverables:

Data Security and Privacy Assessment - conduct a comprehensive review to identify areas for improvement and critical gaps.
Strategic Framework (2026–2028) - develop and publish the Data Security and Privacy Strategy, including policies, compliance requirements, ethical use of data, etc.
Risk Ownership: Establish granular identification and ownership of data security risks.
Governance Structures - establish a Global Data Security and Privacy Steering Group to oversee implementation and accountability.

Additional expertise in the following areas would be beneficial:

Benchmarking against international best practices and regulatory requirements (e.g., GDPR, ISO 27001, NIST).
Advising on emerging risks such as AI governance, cross‑border data transfers, and third‑party/vendor data management.
