Role: Head of Product – Food Innovation & Development

Location: South Nutfield, Surrey

Are you an experienced food product development leader with a passion for innovation, quality and project delivery? We’re looking for a Head of Product to lead the full product development lifecycle for Monty’s Bakehouse - from concept and packaging through to trials, technical approval and launch.

This is a senior leadership role managing a multidisciplinary team of chefs, NPD specialists and technical professionals, delivering multiple concurrent projects aligned with our business strategy.

What You’ll Do:

Lead cross-functional teams to deliver multiple NPD projects on time and within scope.
Define and drive our culinary and product development vision.
Oversee quality assurance and technical compliance for all products.
Collaborate with suppliers, customers, and internal stakeholders to bring concepts to market.
Maintain insight into market trends and technologies to shape future innovation.
Apply strong project management skills to ensure robust processes and timely delivery.

What We’re Looking For:

Proven experience in developing and manufacturing high-quality food products within FMCG.
Strong culinary expertise and ability to scale concepts commercially.
Knowledge of food legislation, technical standards, and quality assurance.
Leadership experience managing NPD and technical teams.
Experience with outsourced or contract manufacturing environments.
Exceptional project management capability to handle multiple priorities effectively.
