Full-Stack Engineer (AI + Compliance Tech) | YC-Backed Startup | NYC On-Site

Location: New York City

Compensation: $150,000 – $220,000 + equity

Work Model: Fully on-site, 5 days per week

Type: Full-time

We are working with a fast-growing, YC-backed fintech startup building a next-generation compliance platform for financial firms. The company is replacing outdated, fragmented legacy tools with a single modern system powered by automation and AI. They have strong early traction, hundreds of customers, and a small, high-calibre engineering team.

Role Overview

The team is hiring a Full-Stack Engineer to work across AI-driven document and communications review, agentic workflows, secure cloud infrastructure, and large-scale data processing. You will ship quickly, collaborate closely with senior engineers and founders, and contribute to systems that handle significant scale and real-time processing.

Requirements

3–5+ years of engineering experience
Strong in Node.js and Python
React and Tailwind experience
Experience building scalable systems in AWS
Familiarity with data infrastructure or distributed systems
Understanding of AI/ML concepts or experience using modern AI developer tools
Strong communication skills and a product-minded approach
Ability to work full-time on-site in NYC
Fintech experience is a bonus but not required
