Title: Java Developer – Market Data BAU

Location: New York, NY

Job Description:

Experienced senior java developer with hands on development experience working with Market Data and BAU support.
Post-Graduate degree in statistics, finance, mathematics, engineering (Computer Science preferred) or other quantitative or computational disciplines.
Hands on Senior Java Developer with over 5 years of enterprise development experience.
Work with multiple business teams including trading and quantitative analysts.
Provide work estimates as needed.
Develop system architectures, designs and concepts.
Maintain and improve code quality using static & dynamic code analyses, security vulnerability scans, code coverage and CI/CD pipeline gating.
Design, build and configure applications to meet business process and application requirements.
Participate in all phases of software delivery lifecycle from analysis through support.

Required Skills:

Strong core Java skills (JDK 11/17), Spring Boot, experience with low-latency, high-throughput trading platforms, familiarity with asynchronous/event-driven programming, database management (SQL Server/Sybase), and integration with financial platforms like Bloomberg or Murex.
Enterprise services (including monitoring, state management).
Experience with technologies like Kafka, RedHat OpenShift, Kubernetes, Ansible, or Docker is preferred.
Excellent & hands-on designing & development knowledge of trading platforms.
Experience with JMS (ActiveMQ or similar) and RESTful APIs, including enterprise authentication.
Excellent Server side component development, deep understanding of multithreading server components, JVM & garbage collection.
Experience on entire SDLC life cycle. Proven use of Design Patterns is a plus.
Experience of unit testing and continuous integration.
Excellent understanding of exchange gateways & gateway technology development framework.
