Description
Be at the cutting edge of transforming national security analysis with artificial intelligence!
We're seeking a visionary AI Analyst to spearhead the integration of AI capabilities, including revolutionary large language models (LLMs), across multi-disciplinary national security challenges. As a trailblazer in the Operations and Program Analysis Group (JOP) within the National Security Analysis Department (NSAD), you'll transform analytical studies by fusing AI-driven insights with physics-based modeling, gaming techniques, case studies, and operational analyses.
In this role, you'll take the lead in developing groundbreaking generative artificial intelligence capabilities that harness the power of large language models and other related technologies to rapidly improve our analyses through shortened timelines and larger sponsor impacts. This innovative technology will reshape the way we approach national security analyses, allowing us to anticipate and prepare for emerging challenges like never before.
As an Artificial Intelligence (AI) Analyst, you'll have the opportunity to:
Drive innovation in AI applications, pushing the boundaries of what's possible in national security analysis.
Collaborate with renowned experts in AI, operations research, and national security to shape the future of strategic decision-making.
Develop and refine AI-enabled tools and methodologies that will inform critical policy decisions.
Stay at the forefront of AI advancements, ensuring our nation remains ahead of the curve in national security.
If you're passionate about harnessing AI to drive national security breakthroughs, we want to hear from you! Join our team of innovators and shape the future of national security analysis.
As an Artificial Intelligence (AI) Analyst, you will be responsible for:
Assisting in the development of NSAD's proficiency, working with and refining large language models across several domains.
Applying AI-enabled capabilities more broadly to NSAD analyses, including those focused on the tactical and operational use of existing and new systems and programs to support the warfighter at the Department of Defense (DoD), Services, and Combatant Commands.
Assisting in developing and applying AI-enabled capabilities across the APL enterprise that bring a strategic or integrative capability to complement or enhance other APL capabilities.
Playing an active role in developing ideas to expand NSAD's application of AI and generative AI capabilities to analyses.
Developing and maintaining effective working relationships across NSAD and the Laboratory.
