Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role for a Full-Stack Developer (Vue / React / Next.js / Mobile) based in North York, Ontario.

You will play a key role in designing, developing, and maintaining scalable healthcare technology solutions that comply with PHIPA and HIPAA standards. The ideal candidate will bring strong backend expertise, hands-on experience with modern frontend frameworks, and proficiency in mobile development. Experience with DevOps or cloud infrastructure (Azure, GCP) is considered an asset.

What You’ll Do

Develop modern, responsive user interfaces using Vue.js, React, and Next.js.
Build and maintain secure backend systems, APIs, and database integrations.
Develop cross-platform mobile applications using Flutter or React Native, or native iOS/Android apps.
Implement unit testing and automated testing frameworks (e.g., Jest).
Optimize application performance through debugging and code tuning.
Collaborate with design and product teams, creating wireframes and prototypes in Figma.
Utilize AI-assisted coding tools (Cursor, Claude Code, Codeium, etc.) to improve development efficiency.
Ensure compliance with PHIPA and HIPAA healthcare data standards.
(Ideal) Contribute to DevOps pipelines, CI/CD processes, and cloud deployments (Azure, GCP).

Must-Have Qualifications

Strong backend development experience — API design, data flow management, and secure architecture.
Proficiency in Vue.js, React, and Next.js.
Experience in cross-platform mobile development (Flutter / React Native) or native iOS/Android.
Knowledge of unit testing and automated testing (Jest or similar).
Familiarity with REST APIs, debugging techniques, and performance optimization.
Understanding of medical compliance standards (PHIPA, HIPAA).
Proficiency in Figma for wireframing and UI/UX collaboration.
Hands-on experience with AI-assisted coding tools.
Experience with relational (MySQL, Postgres) and non-relational (MongoDB, Firestore, DynamoDB) databases.
Strong knowledge of Git, GitHub, and GitLab for version control.

Preferred Qualifications

Proficiency in Laravel/PHP development.
Experience with DevOps tools and practices, including Docker, CI/CD, and monitoring pipelines.
Familiarity with cloud platforms such as Azure or Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
Experience working with EMR systems or other regulated industries.
Background in healthcare technology or digital health solutions.
