Blockchain Developer Internship

Role Overview
This role targets highly skilled and experienced blockchain developers, including accomplished BSc or MSc holders, eager to apply advanced knowledge in blockchain, cryptography, distributed systems, or related fields to real-world, large-scale development. We strongly welcome applications from current MSc students who are either still studying or have currently graduated and who possess significant, demonstrable experience and advanced skills in the field. This is a part-time, remote role offering a flexible, supportive work structure. The project is structured in two phases:
Phase 1: An initial 3-month period focused on priority target achievement.
Phase 2: A second phase spanning approximately 8-9 months.
Key Responsibilities
• Design and develop core blockchain infrastructure and native token
• Build, deploy, and secure smart contracts for payment, loyalty, and booking systems
• Integrate blockchain functionality seamlessly with front-end and back-end platform components
• Collaborate with engineers and product leaders, reporting directly to the CTO, using remote collaboration tools (Google Chat/Zoom)
• Test, debug, and optimise blockchain modules for performance, integrity, and security
• Document processes to ensure scalability and auditability
• Stay on the cutting edge of blockchain protocol advancements and research
Required
• Holding a BSc, MSc, or equivalent in Computer Science, Cryptography, Mathematics, Distributed Systems, or a related field
• Highly demonstrable and significant experience in blockchain, smart contract, and token design/development (via professional projects, research, or open source)
• Proficient in relevant languages (Solidity, Rust, Go, or similar)
• Strong understanding of blockchain architecture, consensus protocols, and tokenomics principles
• Deep grasp of cryptography, security, and Web3 programming fundamentals
• Familiarity with platforms such as Ethereum, Polygon, BNB Smart Chain, or similar
• Knowledge of DeFi, cross-chain operations, and smart contract security tools
• Version control (Git), CI/CD, and agile software practices
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Preferred:
• Experience working in travel, fintech, payments, or rewards/loyalty tech
• Awareness of compliance and AML/KYC relevant to blockchain
• Contribution to open-source blockchain or Web3 projects
