NI is now the Test & Measurement (T&M) Business Unit of Emerson, and we are seeking a dedicated and versatile Software Engineer to join our RF Product R&D organization. In this role, you will enjoy the unique opportunity to be involved in all aspects of the development cycle for our pioneering RF Test and Measurement products. Software Engineers find that our relaxed and stimulating work environment, which includes collaborating in small feature-focused teams, cultivates the type of engineering innovation that leads to our many award-winning products. We are seeking engineers with a background or interest in hardware/software interfacing, communications, signal processing, or embedded software.
In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:
Deliver product features by participating in research, design, development, and documentation efforts.
Collaborate with team members and project leaders on design discussions and code architecture.
Specify, design, and implement new product features.
Develop unit and automated functional tests to ensure high code quality and catch future regressions.
Peer review code changes submitted by other members of the team.
Participate in team activities including standups, backlog reviews, retrospectives, and brainstorming sessions.
Explore and apply new technologies to continually improve our infrastructure and processes.

For This Role, You Will Need:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering (or similar)
Proficiency in C/C++ programming
Understanding of good software design and architecture principles, including:
Operating system components and design
Computer system architecture and organization
Data structures
Object-oriented programming
Authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship now and in the future
Preferred Qualifications That Set You Apart:
Prior internship or co-op experience
Experience programming in Python
Experience programming in LabVIEW
Experience using source code control (e.g., Git)
Familiarity with NI products
Work productively in an Agile group development environment
