Principal Salesforce Engineer (Sales Cloud Specialist)

Location: Remote (US) • Full-Time

We are seeking a Principal Salesforce Engineer who combines expert-level Salesforce engineering (Apex, LWC, advanced Flows, integrations) with deep Sales Cloud domain knowledge and strong Sales Leadership–facing communication skills.

This role requires someone who can both build and architect complex solutions and guide Sales executives on pipeline, forecasting, and opportunity management best practices.

Role Overview

Sales Cloud Strategy & Leadership

Serve as the primary Sales Cloud SME for VP– and Director-level Sales Leaders.
Lead discussions on pipeline structure, forecasting, opportunity lifecycle, qualification, and pipeline inspection.
Translate Sales and RevOps requirements into scalable, revenue-impacting Salesforce solutions.
Build reporting and dashboards that give Sales Leadership visibility into pipeline health and deal movement.
Drive adoption and ensure Sales Cloud is used effectively across the GTM organization.

Salesforce Engineering & Architecture

Architect and deliver high-quality Salesforce solutions using Apex, LWCs, and advanced Flows.
Build and maintain complex automations (record-triggered flows, orchestrations, triggers, platform events).
Own technical design standards, system performance, and data architecture.
Guide environment strategy, integration patterns, and data quality.
Mentor engineers and collaborate cross-functionally with RevOps, Marketing Ops, and CS Ops.

Required Experience

Deep Sales Cloud Expertise (Mandatory)

Candidates must demonstrate real-world mastery of:

Opportunity management
Pipeline structure and stage design
Pipeline inspection
Sales forecasting and stage methodology
Lead → Opportunity processes
Sales KPIs and executive reporting

You must be able to clearly answer questions such as:

“What exactly did you build or improve in Opportunity Management?”
“How do you structure a pipeline that executives can forecast from?”
“Walk me through your approach to pipeline inspection.”

Engineering Depth

7–12+ years of hands-on Salesforce engineering.
Expert in Apex (classes, triggers, async patterns), Lightning Web Components, and advanced Flows.
Strong integration experience (APIs, middleware, platform events).
Proven ability to architect scalable systems and own technical direction for a domain or org.

Executive Stakeholder Engagement

Direct experience partnering with VP Sales, Sales Directors, CROs, or RevOps leaders.
Ability to translate complex technical details into clear, actionable guidance for non-technical executives.
Strong ability to influence, challenge, and guide senior stakeholders.

Not a Fit If

Your experience is primarily developer-only without Sales Cloud process expertise.
You have not worked directly with Sales Leadership.
You cannot articulate opportunity structure, forecasting mechanics, or pipeline concepts clearly.

Nice to Have

Revenue Operations knowledge
CPQ or Partner Communities
Data Cloud, MCAE, or OmniStudio

Please apply with a resume that includes your state, phone number and SalesCloud experience.
