Crafting Intern — Parker Zinn (Hybrid, NYC | For Credit Only)

About the Brand

Parker Zinn is a New York–based womenswear label redefining elegance through a playful, narrative-driven lens. Known for its heirloom-minded knitwear and tactile approach to design, the brand blends thoughtful construction with a touch of elevated kitsch—resulting in pieces that are deeply personal, refined, and exquisitely crafted.

Each collection begins with materials: premium Italian and Peruvian yarns chosen for their quality, hand-feel, and character. Designed in New York, the work is grounded in careful stitchwork, considered details, and a clear point of view that celebrates the beauty of thoughtful knitwear.

The brand has been featured in Vogue Runway, WWD, People.com, and The New York Post, and has been worn by leading figures across fashion, film, and culture.

About the Role

We’re seeking a highly creative Crafting Intern who loves making things with their hands and finds genuine joy in the process. This is a rare internship designed for a craft-obsessed student — someone who sees the world through materials, texture, and whimsy.

You’ll create small-scale physical crafted assets (felted objects, clay miniatures, fiber sculptures, etc.) inspired by upcoming collections. These pieces will become part of the brand’s visual storytelling across social media, newsletters, and digital campaigns.

You’ll meet weekly with Founder & Creative Director Parker Zinn to plan and develop concepts that bring the brand’s world to life in tactile, unexpected ways.

This role begins December 2025 and continues through the Spring 2026 semester.

Responsibilities

Create handcrafted pieces inspired by seasonal collections (felt, clay, fiber, paper, mixed materials, etc.)
Translate garments, sketches, moodboards, and concepts into playful crafted objects
Support visual storytelling for social media, newsletters, and campaign imagery
Assist with art direction for crafted assets and prep for photography
Maintain a small archive of crafted samples and materials
Collaborate directly with Parker on weekly craft concepts and creative directions

Qualifications

A current college student eligible to receive school credit
Based in NYC (hybrid role with in-person meetings in Manhattan)
Extensive experience with hands-on crafting — felting, sculpting, sewing, knitting, embroidery, model-making, or similar
Creative thinker with a strong sense of visual intuition and material play
A problem solver who enjoys experimentation and building three-dimensional ideas
Someone whose creative instincts and aesthetic sensibilities align with the Parker Zinn brand
Organized, self-directed, and excited to bring handcrafted storytelling into a fashion context
Available to work 15–20 hours per week in a hybrid format
