Test Engineer

The O pportunity
Join our dynamic Merchant Services team as a Test Engineer in our Beeston, UK office (hybrid 3 day/week), where you'll play a crucial role in testing integrations using Azure DevOps. Working within a close-knit team of 1-5 professionals, you'll ensure the reliability and performance of our payment systems while maintaining critical hardware infrastructure.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities
Diagnose and resolve peripheral hardware faults on payment systems and test kiosks
Remove, replace, and configure faulty hardware components to minimise system downtime
Manage the return and repair processes for defective hardware components
Repair existing bespoke cables or create new cables as required for system functionality
Utilise Azure DevOps for comprehensive testing of workflows and collaborating effectively within a team of software testers
Conduct thorough regression testing of software releases and validate user stories to ensure quality delivery
Test bug fixes and proactively identify new issues to maintain system integrity
Create documentation for engineering support and end user guides
Who Are We Looking For

5+ years of relevant industry experience in hardware maintenance and some software testing
Hands-on self-service kiosk experience with deep knowledge of payment system hardware
Strong hardware troubleshooting skills for identifying and resolving complex hardware faults
Proven experience with Azure DevOps for test management and CI/CD pipeline testing
Technical expertise in hardware configuration, cable repair/creation, and regression testing methodologies
Flexibility to travel to customer, supplier and other Worldline sites
