Network Engineer

12 Month contract initially

Location: Hybrid - Max 4 days p/w onsite in London

Rate: £400 - £450 p/d (via Umbrella company)

Key Skills & Experience

Experience in managing a global network platform, including internet/B2B DMZs
Experience testing and planning the deployment of router and switch platforms like CISCO, NEXUS etc.
In depth knowledge of data center design principles, products and protocols
Good appreciation of network security architectures, models and methodologies
Extensive technical experience (project deployment) using many of the following: Juniper JunOS, Cisco Routers, switches, nexus, Cisco NX-OS, IOS-XR, IDS/IPS
Support, design and product experience with firewalls - Juniper JunOS and Palo Alto
Security hardening on various platforms. Familiar with industry best practices in network security
Excellent analytical, problem solving and decision-making skills
Solid experience in managing, configuring and troubleshooting cloud infrastructure platforms (Either in AWS, GCP, Azure or OCI)
Good communication, presentation and interpersonal skills
Good project management skills
Broad technical experience in engineering and implementing network technologies within a large enterprise, preferable with some exposure to the financial sector
Experience integrating with public cloud environments.
