Summary:
B2B Engineer analyzes business needs, develops software solutions, and supports B2B integration requirements across multiple technologies. The role is responsible for preparing design documentation, creating and executing test plans, maintaining test procedures, resolving defects, and supporting end-to-end integration activities. The position involves working with business and development teams to clarify requirements, ensure testability, and implement integration solutions using industry-standard B2B tools, document formats, and protocols.
 
Responsibilities:
Analyze business and IT B2B integration needs, prepare requirements, and map specifications.
Provide, design, and implement end-to-end B2B integration solutions using products such as OpenText BizManager, IBM Sterling, Mulesoft, Boomi, or similar B2B tools.
Develop mapping solutions for document/file formats including EDI, XML, JSON, FF, CSV, and similar structures.
Prepare design documentation and test data for unit, string, and parallel testing.
Draft, revise, and maintain test plans, test cases, and automated test scripts.
Execute test procedures and scripts based on software requirement specifications.
Log defects, perform preliminary root cause analysis, and retest corrections to ensure issues are resolved.
Document evolution of testing procedures for future replication.
Debug connectivity issues involving protocols such as HTTPS, SFTP, and AS2.
Understand and build APIs, and work with architectural components like hardware/software interactions, server, storage, networking, and client technologies.
Evaluate and recommend software and hardware solutions based on user needs.
Provide resolutions to a diverse range of complex problems and ensure project schedules, costs, and documentation are met.
May lead small to moderately sized projects and may guide or review the work of less experienced developers.
Participate in end-to-end and performance testing, prepare implementation documents, and provide support during implementation.
Follow established development methodologies and contribute to continuous improvement.
 
Requirements:
Bachelor of Technology in Computer Science or equivalent.
4-6 years of IT experience.
Strong knowledge of B2B integration technologies such as OpenText BizManager, IBM Sterling, Boomi, Mulesoft, or similar tools.
Experience with mapping tools and document types including EDI, XML, JSON, and FF.
Hands-on experience with integration protocols like HTTPS, SFTP, and AS2.
Ability to code or debug B2B integrations.
Understanding of file types, file encoding, data classification, and operating systems.
Knowledge of IBM MQ, RMQ, and Kafka is highly preferred.
Ability to understand AIP concepts and build APIs.
Knowledge of software architecture, applications, and platform technologies such as server, storage, networking, and client systems.
Experience working with globally distributed IT and business teams.
Familiarity with Agile development methodologies.

Pay Transparency: The typical base pay for this role across the U.S. is: $63.00 - $66.00 /hour. Non-exempt positions are eligible for overtime at a rate of 1.5 times the base hourly rate for all hours worked in excess of 40 in a work week, or as required by state or local law. Final offer amounts, within the base pay set forth above, are determined by factors including your relevant skills, education and experience. Full-time employees are eligible to select from different benefits packages.
