Job Title: System Software Engineer - C++/ Envoy/Proxy

100% Remote

Pay Rate - $65-82/hr on w2

Role Overview:

Join a world-class traffic infrastructure team responsible for managing and optimizing every HTTP request across a large-scale, global platform. The role involves improving reliability, security, operational rigor, and efficiency across the traffic tier. Ideal candidates have deep expertise in DNS, traffic engineering, routing platforms, and hands-on experience with technologies such as Envoy, Azure Front Door (AFD), Cloudflare, IPVS, Apache Traffic Server (ATS), HAProxy, and other proxy systems.

Basic Qualifications:

BA/BS in Computer Science or related field (or equivalent practical experience).
6+ years of experience in software design, development, and algorithmic problem-solving.
6+ years of programming experience in C/C++, Rust, Go, or similar languages.
2+ years of experience building large-scale distributed systems and databases.
2+ years of experience with core networking technologies (TCP/IP, HTTP, DNS, etc.).

Preferred Qualifications:

MS/PhD with 6+ years of relevant experience.
Experience with traffic systems including CDNs, load balancers, and routing frameworks.
Hands-on experience building and managing traffic infrastructure using open-source tools such as ATS, HAProxy, or Envoy.
