The Role
We’re hiring two Operations Team Leads to manage two of our most dynamic verticals:
Regional Exchanges (REX) – online exchanges restricted to specific countries or regions
Over-the-Counter Desks (OTC) – brokers and trading desks that facilitate private transactions
Each Operations Team Lead acts as the business owner for their vertical: defining strategy, managing analysts, improving workflows, and ensuring consistent, high-quality outputs that meet our strict data quality standards.
You’ll lead a large remote team consisting of full-time, part-time and a high volume of freelancers, set goals and priorities, track delivery, and continuously refine how your vertical runs - blending research, project management, operations, and innovation to scale faster and smarter.
Key Responsibilities
Lead category ownership across multiple blockchain intelligence verticals : from data collection and validation to ingestion, enrichment, and final review for accuracy and completeness
Onboard freelance contributors: Identify, vet, and train new tracers or freelancers across regions; manage feedback and payments.
Manage freelance contributors; assign tasks, set expectations, and monitor performance against KPIs.
Design and implement data pipelines, coordinating with engineering to automate scraping and metadata ingestion
Establish and enforce data quality standards, including labeling accuracy, completeness checks, and consistency of metadata across datasets.
Systematize workflows by documenting scalable SOPs, dashboards, and propose automation to streamline operations
Requirements
5+ years’ experience in operations, research, or data team management, ideally in blockchain, fintech, or OSINT.
Proven ability to lead distributed teams and deliver measurable results
Experience with modern project management frameworks (Kanban, Agile, Scrum etc)
Strong analytical, organizational, and decision-making skills
Excellent written and verbal communication in English
A proactive, ownership-driven mindset and attention to detail
Comfort operating in fast-paced, data-centric environments
Genuine curiosity about blockchain networks, crypto exchanges, and open-source intelligence (OSINT)
Nice-to-haves
Experience with blockchain forensics tools (Chainalysis, TRM Labs, Elliptic, MistTrack)
Familiarity with automation tools (Retool, n8n, Make or similar)
Experience with Open Source Intelligence Techniques (OSINT)
Knowledge of blockchain analytics, wallet clustering, and transaction forensics
Experience negotiating and managing relationships with external data partners, contractors, or freelancers
