Job Specifications
AI Engineer
x2–3 days a week in a London office (flexible hybrid)
This is an opportunity to join a growing product-led business working at the intersection of personal wellbeing, digital services, and data intelligence. The team is scaling rapidly and building out its AI capability to power a range of intelligent user experiences across web and mobile platforms.
The company is well-funded and values creativity, autonomy, and impact. You’ll work in a small team where applied AI will directly shape future products and define how technology supports users across a range of meaningful, everyday personal finance decisions.
What You’ll Be Doing
Develop and launch intelligent features that support personalisation, automation, and user guidance across digital platforms
Build and deploy machine learning workflows and LLM-powered tools, such as recommendation systems, AI-driven assistants, and data enrichment layers
Prototype and iterate on experimental applications using modern AI tooling, including LLM orchestration frameworks, vector search, and prompt engineering techniques
Work with backend and infrastructure engineers to support training pipelines, inference workflows, and scalable model deployment in a cloud-native environment
Explore integration of third-party data or tools into AI-driven services using custom APIs and automation endpoints
Contribute to internal frameworks for evaluating performance, safety, and accuracy of AI features, including prompt variation and output consistency
Collaborate closely with product and engineering teams to translate abstract ideas into well-scoped AI applications with measurable value
Play an active role in raising engineering standards around model integration, quality assurance, and responsible development practices
What They’re Looking For
Hands-on experience delivering applied AI features or machine learning models in a live product setting
Strong Python development skills and familiarity with ML/AI libraries such as PyTorch, Hugging Face, LangChain, or TensorFlow
Experience working with LLM-based systems, including structured generation, retrieval-augmented generation, and embedding-based approaches
Understanding of model testing and validation workflows, including prompt evaluation, fine-tuning, or A/B testing techniques
Familiarity with API development and model integration into live services or applications
Comfortable working with cloud services (Azure, GCP, or AWS) and tools that support reproducibility and scaling
Good collaboration skills and an interest in shaping AI capability within a growing product team
A practical approach to balancing experimentation with technical robustness and user impact
