Aria Partners is delighted to be working with a leading private equity firm to appoint a Portfolio Data Analyst in a new role in the London based team.

This is a blank canvas opportunity to help shape how data, analytics and AI are embedded across the investment, portfolio, impact, investor relations and finance functions.

The role sits in a small dedicated function, working closely with all areas of the wider business including the investment team, fund finance and investor relations. The role will primarily cover portfolio performance, fund performance and pipeline investment data.

You will take ownership of building and enhancing the firm’s data and analytics capability, connecting multiple systems and datasets to drive better, faster decision making. This includes developing and maintaining Power BI reporting/dashboards, working with SQL and Python to extract, clean and model data, and supporting the ongoing development of the firm’s SQL server and Databricks environment. There is also meaningful exposure to AI tooling, including supporting ongoing AI tool selection.

Requirements

3 to 5 years’ experience in a data, analytics or portfolio analytics role, ideally from a consulting background with relevant client experience or from a competitor fund or financial services business
Advanced Power BI capability is essential
Strong SQL and Python experience highly preferential
Commercially minded with the ability to work directly with investment and finance stakeholders
Confident working cross-functionally and influencing non-technical stakeholders
