Identify opportunities to standardize and reuse solutions for cross-cutting needs.
Guide build-versus-buy decisions.
Partner with stakeholders to define, promote, and adopt architectural best practices, guidelines, and standards.
Assess product requirements and vision, evaluate technical feasibility and risks, and lead solution discussions that result in clear architecture direction.
Communicate architectural blueprints to engineering, business partners, and leadership; collaborate to ensure successful implementation.
Define and ensure compliance with non-functional requirements such as performance, availability, scalability, and security.
Mentor engineering teams on best practices, standards, and architectural principles.
Maintain and evolve architectural roadmaps that balance new feature development, technical debt reduction, and long-term strategy.
Work with multiple Agile value streams to guide large-scale solutions over several planning cycles.
Evaluate emerging technologies and vendors; drive proofs of concept and exploratory work.
Provide leadership, mentoring, and guidance to Architects, Senior Architects, and other collaborators.
Required Qualifications
10+ years of hands-on enterprise-level, consumer-facing application development experience.
6+ years in architecture roles, including leading architecture across multiple value streams.
Expert understanding of architectural methodologies and best practices.
Proficiency with modern programming languages, frameworks, and cloud technologies.
Extensive experience with:
Server-side application design, including APIs, microservices, containers, databases, cloud infrastructure, and cloud-native services.
Designing and developing complex systems and user interfaces.
Distributed computing concepts such as concurrency, parallelism, and race conditions.
Modern API approaches, including RESTful services.
Strong ability to explain complex technical concepts to varied audiences.
Experience with Jenkins, CI/CD pipelines, Git, and DevOps principles.
Excellent communication, collaboration, negotiation, mentoring, and influencing abilities across all functions (Product, UX, Engineering, QA, DevOps).
