About

A fast-growing AI startup is reimagining how people and systems work together by building an intelligent platform that unifies data and automates workflows through AI agents. The team is now hiring a Backend Engineer in London to help build the core systems that power our AI-driven work platform

Responsibilities

Design and build scalable, reliable backend systems for a distributed AI platform
Develop infrastructure for data ingestion, indexing, retrieval, and integrations
Collaborate with AI, product, and frontend teams to deliver features end-to-end
Improve system performance, scalability, cost-efficiency, and observability
Contribute to architectural decisions and backend best practices

Requirements

Strong experience with Python and building scalable backend systems
Knowledge of cloud-native architecture and distributed systems
Solid software engineering fundamentals with a focus on security and performance
Strong communication and collaboration skills
