Job Title: Technical Business Analyst

About the Role
We are seeking a Product Analyst to support the modernization of our enterprise data platform. This role operates within the Product Management job family but functions as an advanced Business Analyst with strong technical and analytical capabilities.
You will translate complex data and business requirements into actionable user stories, support Agile delivery, execute test plans, and collaborate with business, analytics, and engineering partners to improve data quality and platform efficiency.
This role blends product thinking, business analysis, SQL-driven analytics, requirements documentation, and testing leadership.
What You’ll Do
Partner with product, business, and engineering teams to identify and define detailed business requirements.
Translate data and business needs into high-quality Jira epics, features, and user stories with acceptance criteria.
Lead Agile delivery tasks including backlog refinement and sprint support.
Create test plans, write test cases, and perform UAT/functional/regression testing.
Use advanced SQL to analyze datasets, validate outputs, and support defect resolution.
Participate in platform documentation, data quality improvement efforts, and process workflows.
Communicate findings, requirements, risks, and recommendations to technical and non-technical audiences.
Support cross-team coordination during the data modernization initiative.
Required Qualifications
4+ years of analytics experience (or equivalent via work, training, or military service).
Advanced SQL and advanced Excel expertise.
Experience with relational databases and core data concepts.
Hands-on Python experience for automation or testing routines.
Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
High attention to detail and strong analytical rigor.
Experience capturing requirements and documenting reporting or data workflows.
Desired Qualifications
5+ years of finance or financial-services experience.
Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative field (CS, Engineering, Math, Finance, Economics, etc.).
Experience in data quality, reporting, analytics, or consultative roles.
Background supporting complex or large-scale programs.
Ability to manage small/medium-sized projects end-to-end.
Interest in expanding both technical and business capabilities.
