Job Summary:

A Data Scientist leverages analytical, statistical, and programming skills to collect, analyze, and interpret large datasets. The role focuses on transforming raw data into actionable insights that drive business decisions, improve processes, and support strategic initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

Data Collection & Preparation: Gather data from multiple sources, clean and structure it for analysis.
Exploratory Data Analysis: Identify patterns, trends, and anomalies in structured and unstructured data.
Model Development: Build and validate predictive models and machine learning algorithms.
Assist data transformation and ML/AI-driven analytics enhancements where practical.
Background in ML/AI features within Splunk or adjacent systems.
Automation & Optimization: Develop tools and frameworks to automate data collection and analysis.
Data Visualization: Create dashboards, reports, and visualizations to communicate insights clearly.
Collaboration: Work with cross-functional teams (engineering, product, business) to implement data-driven solutions.

Required Skills & Qualifications

Advanced degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or related field.
Proficiency in programming languages (Python, R, SQL).
Strong knowledge of machine learning frameworks (TensorFlow, scikit-learn, PyTorch).
Experience with data visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI, Matplotlib).
Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with big data technologies (Hadoop, Spark).
Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
Knowledge of A/B testing and experimental design.
